Vicky _ Top Luxury Brand CRM Data Analyst “ Execution is the most power weapon ever. The good seaman is known in bad weather.”

The seventh BFAevent.en was held in Taipei, on January 13th. Vicky was the After Speaker. She gave a brief self-introduction about how she became the data analyst in Louis Vuitton and shared the challenges she faced. Before going to Louis Vuitton, Vicky has been an English tutor for six years and helps more than 100 students to find their dream jobs or study abroad. Now Vicky creates her personal brand “Iron V” and becomes a medium writer. The topics focus on data and English learning, career choices, and personal growth relevant contents.

1 月 13 日,簡報小聚英文版第七場在台北遠見領袖中心舉辦。Vicky 是這次的 After Speaker。她主要介紹自己如何成為 Louis Vuitton 的數據分析師並分享了她所面臨的挑戰。在 Louis Vuitton 任職以前,Vicky 從事英語教學已有 6 年,她幫助 100 多個學生找到理想的工作或出國留學。現在,Vicky 創立了自己的個人品牌「鋼鐵 V」,並成為一名媒體作家,內容主要關於數據和英語學習、職業選擇以及與個人成長相關的主題。

Vicky shared the experience of becoming the data analyst in the luxury industry and the solutions to the challenges she encountered. First she shared the tips of preparing the interview. You have to amplify the percentage of relevant content, prepare all elements, have logical structure, and be confident. These are the tips that Vicky got the job. However, the first month in LV was not fantastic at all. Some difficult challenges made her depressed. Vicky didn’t have enough data set skill, with insufficient cross-field knowledge. Despite facing the tough difficulties, Vicky didn’t give up. She came up with good solutions to the challenges. First, she tried so hard to improve her data skill and at the same time drew an organization structure tree. She made the SOP so she could know who were the key persons and whom should she ask for help. She followed the TIDAL principal: Target, Information, Decision, Affects, and Limits to solve the problems and not only stayed in LV but also got promotion. 

Vicky 分享了成為精品行業數據分析師的經驗以及她對於處理問題的解決方式。首先,她分享了準備面試的技巧,像是擴大相關內容的百分比,準備所有能準備的,有邏輯並且有信心。這些是 Vicky 獲得這份工作的技巧。但是,在 LV 的第一個月一點都不完美,她面臨一些艱難的挑戰變得很沮喪。問題包含 Vicky 的數據分析能力不足,跨領域知識也不充分。儘管遇到了這些艱難的挑戰,Vicky 還是沒有放棄。她提出了面對挑戰的好方法。首先,她竭盡所能提高自己的數據技能,同時繪製了組織結構樹。她制定了 SOP,因此她可以知道誰是關鍵人物以及應該向誰尋求幫助。她遵循 TIDAL 原則:目標,訊息,決策,影響和限制來解決問題。最後,她不僅留在 LV,還獲得了升遷。

From Vicky's sharing we have two inspirations.

The first one is we should find solutions to the challenges and don’t give up easily. Vicky improved the data skills first. Nowadays it’s easy to learn new skills online or offline. We could find resources to strengthen our ability. Then she drew the organization structure tree which could be found on the website or HR department. Besides, she made the SOP. So she could know who were the persons that might be helpful. But don’t forget to be prepared before you are going to ask your colleges for help.

The second thing is she improved the design of her slides this time. She put her logo on the slides that were composed of four colors: blue, white, black, and red. The same colors were used on the rest of the slides so they looked corresponding. Vicky only used blue or red to emphasize the main points on the white background. It’s important to stick to the logo color or the color of the company icon.

透過 Vicky 的分享,我們有兩個啟發。

第一個是我們應該找到面對挑戰的解決方法,不要輕易放棄。以 Vicky 的例子來說,她首先提高了數據分析的能力。現在線上或線下學習新技能都很容易。我們可以找到資源來提升我們的能力。此外,她畫了組織結構圖,這個圖在公司網站或人事部門都可以找到。Vicky 還制定了 SOP,這樣她就知道誰可能是可以幫助她的人。但是,在向同事尋求幫助之前,不要忘記先做好功課再去請教別人。

第二個啟發是她簡報的設計。Vicky 將自己的標誌放在簡報上,標誌由四種顏色組成:藍色,白色,黑色和紅色。因此她在其餘的簡報上使用了相同的四種顏色,它們看起來會比較和諧。 Vicky 只使用藍色或紅色來強調白色背景上的重點,要注意只使用標誌的顏色或公司圖案的顏色。

Through her successful experience, Vicky generates some rules for us to follow. We can first clarify the problem, and then find out the solutions. And keep in mind that we should always try to be better. According to Vicky, “Execution is the most power weapon ever. The good seaman is known in bad weather.”

藉由 Vicky 的成功經驗,她理出一些規則讓我們可以遵循。首先我們可以先弄清楚問題,然後找出解決方案。我們要記得不斷努力以求進步。根據 Vicky 的說法,「執行是有史以來最強大的武器。驚濤駭浪方顯英雄本色。」
